What is the Permeation Grouting Process?
This ground improvement technique involves injecting microfine cement under pressure into the soil to fill cracks and fissures, resulting in a solidified mass that can support increased loads and fill voids in the ground. The process starts with a thorough site investigation and analysis to determine the soil conditions and the type and extent of the cracks and fissures.
Next, a grout injection system is set up, which typically includes a pump, pipes, and injection nozzles. The microfine cement is mixed with water to create a slurry, which is then injected into the soil under pressure through the injection nozzles.
As the slurry infiltrates the cracks and fissures in the soil, it solidifies and creates a stable mass that can support the weight of structures above it. The process is repeated until the desired level of stabilization is achieved.
