Accountability Matters

Our safety journey began with the understanding that safety is not just a responsibility but a commitment to ensuring that every member of our team returns home unharmed. Bob Barrett, co-founder of GeoStabilization International, emphasizes “our goal is to make sure everybody goes home to their family unharmed. This investment in a safety department aligns perfectly with our core values of protecting our family.” We've experienced reduced injury rates, received safety awards, and contributed positively to the industries we work in.

"While we are committed to a constant focus on and improvement to our safety protocols every day of the year, National Safety Month is the perfect reminder as to why safety is a critical pillar to our success. Only by staying diligent, constantly improving our safety program at all levels, and striving to get better and safer every day will we be able to live our commitment to 'Safety, Quality, Production, in that order, at all times.” Josh Monroe, Director of Safety

Safety Program Objective

Objective: The primary objective of our Safety program is to prevent all injuries and accidents. Accidents, by definition, disrupt the orderly process of performing work and result in project disruption, delays, and additional losses due to personal injury, equipment damage, and property or material damage. Our focus is on preventing all accidents, not just those with apparent potential for serious loss.

Accidents are preventable and often result from unsafe procedures, conditions, equipment, and personal acts. As accidents can affect quality, productivity, costs, and public relations, our safety record serves as a guide to the general effectiveness of our supervision. Supervisors, at all levels, have an obligation to provide the safest work environment possible.

Roles, Responsibilities, and Accountability

In order to have an effective safety process, responsibilities and accountability for injury prevention must be shared among all employees. The duties and responsibilities of each employee, from the CEO of GeoStabilization to our frontline employees, are clearly defined and communicated. Authority and accountability accompany these responsibilities, ensuring that individuals can actively contribute to a safe working environment.
