Trevor Ames, Mining Geotechnical Services Director, will be presenting at the 2018 NSSGA AGG1 Academy & Expo being held at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston Texas. Mr. Ames’ presentation “New Life for Abandoned Quarries” demonstrates benefits of incorporating abandoned quarries in future development projects.
His main discussion objectives will focus on geohazards and innovative mitigation techniques GeoStabilization International has available for quarry reclamation. Mr. Ames will showcase the century-old Bellwood Quarry project in Southwest Atlanta and how it will become an essential part of Atlanta’s water shortage solution.
