GeoStabilization Conducts Mine Safety Training

Mine safety trainingOn April 30, GeoStabilization’s Cameron Lobato, P.E., Dr. Martin Woodard, P.E., P.G., and Richard Hightower provided safety training to MSHA’s National Mine Health and Safety Academy in Beaver, West Virginia. This year’s presentations included information on Rock Slope Instabilities and Basic Analysis & Remediation; Earth Structure Issues and Hazard Identification & Remediation; and Grouting Techniques and Practices. As part of GeoStabilization’s outreach to the geohazard industry, this technology transfer will assist MSHA in making mines a safer place to work for all.
