Recently, Colorado Mesa University honored Al Ruckman, founder of GeoStabilization International®, as a Distinguished Alumni at their Homecoming Victory Dinner. The highest distinction the alumni association bestows on an individual; the award recognizes individuals who deserve extraordinary acclaim for their significant contribution to society and Colorado Mesa University.
Al, with his friend and fellow founder Bob Barrett, began GeoStabilization literally with a truck, trailer, and their recently purchased Soil Nail Launcher. From the firm’s humble beginnings, they have grown the company into the leading geohazard mitigation firm operating throughout the United States and Canada. Their passion is to develop and install innovative solutions that protect people and infrastructure from the dangers of geohazards.
As illustrated in the Alumni Newsletter and the introductory video, Al’s recognition is well deserved. We are all proud of his accomplishments and the company that Al helped establish.
