Matt Williams, P.E., Project Development Engineer, Midwest Region

Matt Williams, P.E.

Matt is a Project Development Engineer for Kentucky, Ohio, and Indiana. After earning a BS in civil engineering from the University of Kentucky, Matt began his career in project engineering for a regional engineering consultant based in Pikeville, KY. Matt then transitioned to become Civil/Site Section Manager and Local Design Center Manager for a global engineering firm’s Lexington, KY office. Matt’s recent experience focused on developing a $150M large-site development project, ongoing since 2012, which required consulting with architects, structural engineers, public officials, and the developer to bring the project to a successful completion. He also has experience designing soil nail walls & geotechnical solutions for dam / flood control structures in power transmission & generation, solar power, transportation, aviation, and rail market sectors. Matt is a licensed Professional Engineer in Kentucky.

Steve T. Poole, P.E., Senior Project Development Engineer

Steve Poole, P.E.

Steve is a Senior Project Development Engineer for Georgia, Alabama, and Florida. After earning a BS degree in civil engineering from Auburn University, Steve began his career with the Alabama Department of Transportation in their Bureau of County Transportation before later transitioning to the highway infrastructure design and consulting environment where he worked his way to partner of a Georgia transportation consulting firm. Steve’s recent experience focused on developing site and infrastructure solutions in transportation, military, airport, railway, and commercial and industrial markets while also consulting directly with civil and structural engineers, architects, public officials and staff, and developers/owners to cultivate project-specific solutions. Much of this recent experience has involved direct end-user representation while developing teams of geotechnical, hydraulic, and structural engineers to support clients’ foundation and bridge needs. Steve has over 25 years of experience with public and private markets providing and managing bridge, culvert, engineered slope, and wall solutions from the concept phase through final plans and construction. Steve is a licensed Professional Engineer in Georgia and Alabama.
