Why Choose GSI as Your Compaction Grouting Contractor

  • Turnkey Design-Build: In-house geotechnical engineers and field crews manage design through installation, ensuring one accountable partner from start to finish.
  • Rapid Mobilization: Nationwide crews, portable plants, and compact rigs enable fast response in constrained interiors or tight urban sites.
  • Precision Injection and Monitoring: Staged ports, controlled pressures, and real-time adjustments ensure consistent, measurable improvement.
  • Low Disruption: Drilled ports and low-mobility grout minimize heave, vibration, and surface impact near structures or utilities.
  • Safety and Quality Management: Procedure-driven mixing, injection, and verification deliver reliable, documented performance on every project.

What Is Compaction Grouting?

Compaction grouting injects a stiff, low-mobility cementitious grout at controlled pressures to displace and compact surrounding soils. The process forms bulbous grout columns that increase soil density, improve bearing capacity, and reduce settlement potential.

Because the mix remains localized around each port, it provides highly targeted ground improvement beneath existing structures with minimal disturbance.

Common Applications

  • Sinkhole Repair and Karst Mitigation: Seal voids, fill cavities, and densify overburden to restore support.
  • Foundation Repair and Re-Leveling: Reinforce or lift structures, slabs, tanks, and equipment pads.
  • Liquefaction Mitigation: Densify loose, saturated soils to reduce seismic settlement and strength loss.
  • General Ground Improvement: Pre-improve soils for new construction and stabilize embankments or corridors.
  • Utility and Corridor Stabilization: Address trench settlement and voids along pipelines and culverts.

Foundation Grouting and Structural Repair for Homeowner

I wanted to drop you a quick note. Late last year I had Tom Szynakiewicz come by and advise me as to what I needed to do to fix my house structure. Tom and GSI were great to work with to find a solution for my structure issues. GSI did an excellent job for us and got us on the right track with the work that was performed. We just sold the home last week, and disclosed the work that was done. We had zero issues with selling the home because it was fixed by GSI. I am very thankful I called and got you guys involved! Thanks again for steering me in the right direction Wayne!

Skilled and Professional Crew Support in New Mexico

I want to thank you and your crew for the exceptional job we just completed. It was a pleasure working alongside Brice and his crew. All of them are very stand-up men and have amazing respect, are knowledgeable with the process and technique, and all deserve an “Atta-Boy”. (Ha-ha). If you could pass this along to your superiors I would appreciate it. Once again, it was a pleasure working with GSI and this crew.

Safety-Focused Transportation Project Support in South Carolina

As told by GSI Project Development Engineer: We had a site walk today with the gang from the SCDOT district as well as the statewide construction engineering group. They had good things to say about the professionalism and intelligence of our crew. In particular, one of the construction engineers pointed out that in all his years of working on projects, ours was the best and most thorough safety meeting he had attended.
