Ropework Drilling

GSI’s rope-access teams are trained to operate drilling equipment while suspended on steep or high-angle terrain. This allows precise drilling on vertical and near-vertical slopes commonly found in Canadian transportation corridors, utility routes, and remote geohazard sites.

Spider excavators supplement ropework drilling by providing mobility and reach on steep or uneven slopes. These machines are frequently used in Canadian slope stabilization projects where terrain prevents the use of conventional rigs.

For Canadian sites without safe mechanical access, GSI deploys modular platforms, aerially delivered equipment, or rope-supported systems to complete drilling operations efficiently and with minimal disturbance.

GSI engineers custom drilling systems capable of operating on steep rock cuts, narrow benches, or uneven ground. These purpose-built rigs support rope-assisted operations throughout Canada, including locations with tight access or complex slope geometry.
