Job Overview

The Field Engineer supports GeoStabilization International’s geohazard mitigation projects through hands-on technical work in the field.  This role involves site visits, data collection, and reporting to support the project management, construction, and engineering teams. Field Engineers travel frequently to project sites, applying their technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality project execution.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with project management, operations, and engineering to implement design plans and field solutions.
  • Identify and resolve technical or operational challenges in real time to maintain safety, quality, and production goals.
  • Document as-built conditions, material quantities, and construction progress to support reporting and project controls.
  • Coordinate design updates and approvals with engineering and project management staff, ensuring accurate field execution.
  • Provide on-site technical and engineering support as part of an integrated construction team.
  • Support design implementation and field testing for geohazard mitigation systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geological Engineering.
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop and evaluate technical solutions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD; familiarity with slope stability software (e.g., SLIDE) a plus.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative, proactive work style.
  • Willingness to travel up to 70% to project sites.

 

 

 

 

 

US pay range for this role.
$60,000$75,000 USD
