GSI is the premier geohazard mitigation firm specializing in emergency slope stabilization, landslide repair, grouting, and micropiles through innovative design-build delivery. Access Limited brings over a century of steep-slope expertise and operates North America’s largest fleet of spider excavators, delivering complex rockfall and geotechnical solutions in the most challenging environments. RoadGuard, founded in 2024, unites industry-leading roadway safety companies providing guardrail, bridge railing, highway signage, fencing, and specialty fabrication services.

Across all our businesses, we are driven by innovation, extreme ownership, technical excellence, and a relentless commitment to measurable results that improve safety and infrastructure resilience.

Why This Role

At GSI, field operations are mission-critical. Travel Coordinators own the logistics layer that enables our crews to execute flawlessly. This isn't an administrative role—it's a strategic operations position where you solve complex problems under pressure, optimize systems, and directly influence the success of on-site projects.

The best coordinators don't just process requests. They anticipate failures, escalate decisively, drive continuous improvement, and take ownership of outcomes.

What You'll Own

End-to-End Travel Operations

You manage the complete travel lifecycle for crews across multiple jobsites. From coordinating last-minute logistical changes to debugging automation failures, you're accountable for accuracy and timeliness. You'll work within a Global Distribution System (GDS), making judgment calls on bookings, cost optimization, and policy compliance.

Incident Command & Escalation

When high-priority exceptions hit—missed flights, vehicle damage, safety incidents—you become the point person who coordinates with Superintendents and safety teams to resolve them. You'll develop judgment about what requires immediate escalation versus what you can resolve independently.

Systems & Process Ownership

You maintain and optimize our Travel Request system (Smartsheet), flagging bottlenecks, errors, and improvement opportunities. You're expected to spot patterns and suggest process refinements that increase accuracy and reduce manual work.

Shift Leadership

You ensure seamless handoffs between shift coordinators. Your pass-off documentation is clear, complete, and actionable—a model of ownership and communication.

Who Excels Here

Results-oriented problem solvers who:

  • Thrive under pressure and handle urgency with discipline—you stay calm when coordinating same-day travel changes or managing exceptions.
  • Take ownership. You don't wait to be told what to do; you spot what's broken and fix it. You escalate decisively when needed.
  • Care about accuracy and details without losing sight of the bigger picture. You know that one booking error cascades across a jobsite.
  • Communicate clearly and adapt quickly. You can shift between handling routine bookings and coordinating critical incidents.
  • Seek to understand how your role fits into the larger mission. You ask questions and connect your work to field outcomes.

Experience & Qualifications

Required

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Professional communication skills—written and verbal.
  • Reliability and ownership mindset.

Preferred

  • Prior experience booking travel in a Global Distribution System (GDS).
