Position Overview

The Payroll Analyst manages full-cycle payroll processing for both our unionized field workforce and non-union corporate staff. This role balances strict compliance with multiple collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) and prevailing wage laws alongside standard payroll practices for salaried and hourly non-union personnel.

Key Responsibilities

Union Workforce Administration

  • Union Payroll Processing: Calculate hourly wages, overtime, and double-time based on varying local union contracts.
  • Fringe Benefits Management: Process accurate monthly union fringe benefit reports and remittances.
  • Prevailing Wage Compliance: Prepare and submit certified payroll reports via LCPtracker or similar regulatory systems.
  • Rate Sheets Management: Audit internal payroll data against active union rate sheets and update contract changes.

Non-Union & Corporate Administration

  • Multi-Class Payroll Processing: Manage regular payroll cycles for non-union salaried (exempt) and hourly (non-exempt) employees.
  • Bonus & Commission Administration: Calculate and process corporate bonuses, performance incentives, and auto allowances.
  • General Benefits Deductions: Oversee standard corporate deductions including 401(k) matches, HSA contributions, and health insurance.
  • Leave Tracking: Track and process non-union paid time off (PTO), sick leave, and short-term disability payments.

Cross-Functional Payroll Support & Systems

  • Viewpoint ERP Management: Utilize Viewpoint as the core ERP platform to process weekly payroll, manage cost-center allocations, and maintain employee master files.
  • Tax Compliance: Manage multi-state tax withholding configurations for both field and office personnel.
  • Dispute Resolution: Resolve payroll discrepancies regarding union classification changes or standard corporate paycheck questions.
  • Data Integration: Ensure accurate data transfer between field time-tracking modules and the Viewpoint payroll system.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of blended payroll experience handling both union and non-union structures in construction.
  • Software Expertise: Hands-on proficiency processing construction payroll within the Viewpoint software environment preferred
  • Union Expertise: Direct experience interpreting diverse CBA language and compiling certified payrolls.
  • Work Arrangement: Hybrid in Westminster
  • Compensation: 63,000-80,000, 7.5% bonus
