Once removed, Geostabilization International installed a new wire mesh system in general accordance with existing BC Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure standard specifications. The new system made use of existing rock anchors where available, following suitable testing to ensure adequate condition and performance. Significant clearing and grubbing was performed as the site was completely overgrown and additional rock anchors were also installed. Site access was extremely limited and overhead utilities limited the use of lifting equipment.
A midstream transmission group asked GeoStabilization International® to design and construct a repair for a series of steep shallow landslides that had developed on a pipeline section traversing a steep, remote mountainside, more than a mile long.
