A graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Technology Management, Wade has prior field experience working as a construction inspector within the Chattanooga area on a complex compaction grouting project. While in college, Wade worked in the landscape field as an owner of a small landscaping company designing and reconstructing local landscapes in the Middle Tennessee area. In Wade’s free time he enjoys going to the beach, off-shore fishing, constructing furniture with wood, watching Tennessee football, and spending time with his family whom reside in Clarksville, Tennessee.
In the 1970s, a massive rockslide buried Interstate 81 in Montgomery County, VA while it was being constructed. The mountain of debris took months to clear. More recently, VDOT engineers and geologists noticed active movement near the historic slide, and proactively began an emergency rock slope mitigation effort.
