Jimmy as a project manager at GeoStabilization. A graduate of the University of Missouri, Columbia where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, Jimmy has prior experience with the City of Columbia, Missouri and the Missouri Department of Transportation as a summer intern where he worked in GIS, asphalt inspection, and project reviews/inspections. Originally from Barstow, California, Jimmy now calls Wilmington, North Carolina home where he enjoys spending time on the beach, hiking with friends, and his dog Tyson.
In the 1970s, a massive rockslide buried Interstate 81 in Montgomery County, VA while it was being constructed. The mountain of debris took months to clear. More recently, VDOT engineers and geologists noticed active movement near the historic slide, and proactively began an emergency rock slope mitigation effort.
