Permeation Grouting

What is Permeation Grouting?

Permeation grouting injects microfine cement into soil cracks and voids, forming a dense, rock-like mass that increases load-bearing capacity and prevents water movement. It’s especially effective when voids are too small for slurry grout.

Common applications include:

  • Groundwater and seepage control

  • Foundation underpinning (temporary or permanent)

  • Improving soil bearing strength

  • Excavation shoring and support

Advantages of Permeation Grouting

  • Precision – Penetrates fine cracks and fissures.

  • Durability – Provides erosion-resistant, long-lasting stability.

  • Cost-Effective – Faster and less invasive than alternatives.

  • Minimal Disruption – Ideal for retrofits and urban sites.

  • Versatile – Supports shoring, underpinning, and soil stabilization.

Grouting for Mine Collapse

How It Strengthens Soil

Microfine cement is injected under pressure, binding soil particles and filling voids to create a strong, stable mass. This process:

  • Increases bearing capacity under foundations and structures

  • Controls water seepage and reduces hydrostatic pressure

  • Supports excavation shoring in challenging conditions

The Permeation Grouting Process

  1. Site Investigation – Soil testing and target zone identification

  2. Setup – Pumps, pipes, and injection points installed

  3. Grout Injection – Microfine cement pumped under pressure

  4. Completion – Multiple injections ensure full stabilization

Positive Experience Working with Project Team

Justin, I wanted to reach out and let you know that is was a pleasure working with you all at the [….] Project. The guys on this job were very professional and never once wavered from the plans and specs. These guys did absolutely everything the right way and wanted to make sure that the customer was happy with the work. Again, I appreciate your guys’ hard work and professionalism and look forward to working with you again in the future.

Foundation Grouting and Structural Repair for Homeowner

I wanted to drop you a quick note. Late last year I had Tom Szynakiewicz come by and advise me as to what I needed to do to fix my house structure. Tom and GSI were great to work with to find a solution for my structure issues. GSI did an excellent job for us and got us on the right track with the work that was performed. We just sold the home last week, and disclosed the work that was done. We had zero issues with selling the home because it was fixed by GSI. I am very thankful I called and got you guys involved! Thanks again for steering me in the right direction Wayne!
