Ajay comes to us from a well-respected energy services company where, for the last three years, he led and completed projects in the heavy civil, oil and gas, environmental, and reclamation &amp; remediation sectors.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-840 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.geostabilization.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2023\/11\/Ajay-website.jpg\" alt=\"Man smiling in construction vest.\" width=\"246\" height=\"246\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.geostabilization.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2023\/11\/Ajay-website.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.geostabilization.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2023\/11\/Ajay-website-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.geostabilization.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2023\/11\/Ajay-website-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 246px) 100vw, 246px\" \/>After high school, Ajay moved to Calgary, Alberta to start his post-secondary education at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology. Upon completion, Ajay worked in the construction sector as a draftsman and construction estimator before moving to the west coast of Canada to finish his Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering at the University of British Columbia. After completing his schooling, Ajay worked in Vancouver\u2019s construction industry and was lucky enough to be involved in the construction of venues for the 2010 Winter Olympics. Ajay then traveled overseas to Australia and the United Kingdom to gain international work and life experience as a Project Engineer. Ajay lives in the rural south edge of Calgary with his wife and daughter.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Mike Close, M.S., P.E., Bridge Specialist<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-841 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.geostabilization.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2023\/11\/Mike-Close.jpg\" alt=\"Man smiling in suit.\" width=\"238\" height=\"238\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.geostabilization.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2023\/11\/Mike-Close.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.geostabilization.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2023\/11\/Mike-Close-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.geostabilization.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2023\/11\/Mike-Close-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 238px) 100vw, 238px\" \/>Mike is GeoStabilization\u2019s Bridge Project Specialist for the Eastern United States. After first earning Bachelor\u2019s and Master\u2019s degrees in Civil Engineering from Michigan State University with a focus in structural and geotechnical engineering, Mike began his career with the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) in bridge design and construction. Following his stint with MDOT, Mike worked in consulting where he had the opportunity to start a bridge design unit for URS Greiner (now part of AECOM). After leaving those positions, Mike worked for several manufacturers involved in the design, manufacture, sale, and installation of bridges, retaining walls, and other projects involving various geosynthetic materials.<\/p>\n<p>A Professional Engineer licensed in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Michigan, Mike resides in Clayton, North Carolina where he is active in the American Society of Civil Engineers; serving as past president of the Eastern North Carolina Branch.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n<!-- End Block: acf\/wysiwyg -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ajay is GeoStabilization\u2019s Project Development Engineer for Western Canada.
