A 100-foot stretch of the road had lost its shoulder and pavement, with further signs of slope movement and embankment distress. Crews excavated the slope in stages, removing the pavement and curbing where needed.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>\n<!-- End Block: core\/paragraph -->\n\n<!-- Start Block: core\/paragraph -->\n<section class=\"section-padding\" id=\"coreparagraph\"><div class=\"container\"><div class=\"row\"><div class=\"col-xxs-12\">\n<p>To stabilize the area, the team installed soil nails and vertical micropiles, reinforced with steel plates and nuts. Crews applied additional shotcrete, carving and staining the surface to give the wall a more natural appearance.
