About the Association of Geohazard Professionals<\/h2>\n

The Association of Geohazard Professionals (AGHP<\/a>) was created in 2013 to support the development of standards, specifications, and best practices concerning the design and implementation of geohazard-related technologies and products; and to support and provide education to the geohazard community and those it serves.<\/p>\n

To promote safe work environments within the Geohazard industry, AGHP<\/a> initiated its industry-wide Rope Access Safety Recognition Program in 2018.<\/p>\n

This annual program recognizes companies that develop and implement safe rope access work procedures, provide education and training to their personnel, and commit to enhancing the safety culture within their organizations. A review of the applicants\u2019 safety program and performance metrics is conducted including Total Incident Rates and Lost Time \/ Modified Duty Rates statistics. Additionally, the review process measures management involvement & commitment to the firm\u2019s safety program, reviews their written rope access safety procedure, and determines adherence to industry best practices.<\/p>\n\"Rockfall\n

We are honored to have been recognized with the best-in-class safety development and implementation initiatives within the geohazard industry. We take our responsibility to provide excellent safety records very serious. That is why we employ a full-time, dedicated safety team, maintain a written safety plan, and train\/re-train all employees in the most current practices of the industry. In addition to daily toolbox talks and weekly, monthly, and quarterly training, we also bring the company together annually for a Safety Summit to focus on safety training and periodically for one-day safety stand-ups.<\/p>\n
