Robert is a Project Engineer with GeoStabilization’s Engineering Group; concentrating on rockfall projects. After beginning his career as a technical draftsman and CAD operator in the construction industry, Robert earned degrees in Geology and Geological Engineering to further his interest in rockfall mitigation. Robert’s coursework and technical competence was recognized by the Association of Environmental & Engineering Geologists as the national association’s most outstanding student and their 2017 Marliave Scholar. The award’s criteria are demonstrated ability, scholarship, the potential for contributions to the profession, character, and activities in student / professional societies.
A prime contractor constructed a MSE bridge abutment with a design height of 20 feet before realizing that the grades leading up to the bridges would require abutments in excess of 30 feet.
