Courtney has eight years of rockfall mitigation experience in both Superintendent and Lead RRT (Rock Remediation Technician) capacities. Working with GeoStabilization International® since September of 2013, he has successfully completed a number of permanent stabilization projects utilizing scaling, rock bolting, mesh, shotcrete, and rope access. Courtney is capable of successfully estimating complex geohazard projects and then leading the crews on the slopes to ensure safety and quality are top priorities until each successful completion.
Slope failures do not occur spontaneously. There is scientific reasoning for each failure. Real-time site monitoring allows mine operators to plan and implement appropriate proactive actions with sufficient notice to support safer working environments, ongoing operations, engineering, and planning.
